In order to avoid strong vibrations that can occur due to the rotation of the workpiece and which limit the smooth running when turning, it is important to ensure that the design is as solid as possible.

Design of the base frame

When manufacturing the base frame, great attention was paid to the design and choice of materials. Stability and vibration reduction are characteristic properties of the entire construction, which is made of grey cast iron. This is ultimately reflected in the high weight of 65 kg and a material thickness of 10 mm.

Even if you want to work frequently with external turning devices, the feet offer maximum flexibility thanks to their 6 mounts for optional bed extensions. The wall is extra-reinforced with 16 mm at the mounting points and is ideal for turning heavy objects with a large turning diameter.

Adaptable to your workshop floor

Finally, to increase the stability of the lathe, the base frame is equipped with 4 height-adjustable feet so that you can easily compensate for unevenness in the floor of your workshop. The M20 thread (20 mm Ø) with which the adjustable feet are screwed into the base frame does not affect the stability due to the high cross-section. The abrasion-resistant nylon buffer protects the surface.

In addition, the scope of delivery includes a cut-to-size rubber pad, which not only further reduces vibrations, but also prevents the machine from slipping on smooth floors.
